Ontario High Performance Computing Summer School - East 

 

Jointly organized by the Compute Ontario HPC Consortia (HPCVL, SciNet, SHARCNET) and Carleton University in Ottawa.

The Summer School on High Performance and Technical Computing is an annual educational event for students, postdocs and researchers in the areas of computational science. Jointly organized by SHARCNET (Ontario-West), SciNet (Ontario-Central) and HPCVL (Ontario-East), attendees are provided with opportunities to learn and share knowledge and experience in high performance and technical computing.

This all-week series of workshops will cover a range of high-performance computing related subjects, such as Introductions to OpenMP, MPI, and CUDA programming of GPUs. Courses will be offered in a single-stream format. 

  • Shared-Memory Programming with OpenMP
  • Distributed-Memory programming with MPI
  • Programming GPUs with CUDA

Please note: Registration is now Full. Seating is limited to 33 participants. We will send out reminders to those registered before the event and re-assign unconfirmed spots. Please make sure that you attend if you have registered. If you register and are unable to attend, please contact us so we can re-assign your spot.

Important: The workshops have a hands-on lab component that will be conducted on servers supplied by the HPC consortia. The lecture room provides desktop computers.
