HPCVL Expands Again

HPCVL is pleased to announce the availability of our Victoria Falls cluster. This cluster is based on Sun Microsystems 1.2GHz UltraSPARC T2+ processors which have eight CPU cores and each core capable of running eight “threads” simultaneously. This is an exciting development as it is the first massively Chip Multithreaded (CMT) installation fo r research in Canada and is a paradigm shift.
