Please note: The FAQ pages at the HPCVL website are continuously being revised. Some pages might pertain to an older configuration of the system. Please let us know if you encounter problems or inaccuracies, and we will correct the entries.

Note

HPCVL requires that all new users access the central site resource through the HPCVL Secure Portal. Current users are encouraged to move to this new resources. In time we will be diisabling ssh logins for general users. Note that while remote workup systems are still only available via ssh, they will also be moved to being Portal only access in the coming months.

Information on the HPCVL Secure Portal and how to obtain a digital certificate may be obtained here.

In order to better distribute jobs across the Sunfire Cluster, All production jobs must be submitted via Sun's Grid Engine.
